Program Activities

In the Research Accelerator community, you will be able join a vibrant community of scholars who engage each other inside and outside the classroom.

Program Activities:

  • Take Honors College courses that introduce you to research basics, expand your research networks, and provide opportunities to practice research techniques alongside your peers.

  • Conduct an actionable, community-based research project.

  • Attend social events to explore the Purdue and surrounding communities

  • Build your research network

  • Interact with guest speakers

  • Receive career mentoring

  • Bond with scholars from across campus.

Social and Extracurricular Activities Include:

  • Weekly lunch with Research Accelerator Director

  • Field trips to research facilities

  • Mentor-led group outings

  • Meet a Researcher (Interviews w/ Purdue faculty, labs, PIs etc.)

  • Honors College presentations and events

  • Career and research workshops

  • John Martinson Honors College Research Crawl

  • Film screenings, sporting events, and other social events

  • End of semester celebrations
